Our Suppliers

Our chef is serious about his food and drink, and he personally sources the best ingredients for the dish and the season. About Us

The Prince Albert began welcoming customers in 1843.

Since 2007, it's taken on a new, more refined role and is now a PUB and restaurant of quality and character.

The Prince's period features complement its comfortable and eclectic interior; the perfect setting for our friendly pub service.

Bar food and snacks are served all day downstairs and in the outside beer garden; upstairs in the restaurant we offer the same but different.

Venue

The Prince Albert is suitable for all manner of corporate and private events and parties. Situated in Camden within easy reach of both central London and the City, the venue can be hired in part or in its entirety.

Our chefs have created a selection of canapé and buffet menus in addition to the restaurant's existing menus and all of these can be tailored to your event. A full range of drinks are available.

Glassware, AV equipment, entertainment, cloakroom facilities, flowers and staffing can all be arranged for your event by the wonderful Kate, our events manager at The Prince Albert.

We are licensed until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays and we can arrange for late licences on application

Recipe: Steak Tartare

You Need:
9oz fillet of beef
1 shallot
4 cornichons
1 tbsp capers
½ tbsp parsley
2 tbsp Heinz ketchup
salt & pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco
1 egg

Finely dice the shallot, cornichons, parsley and capers. Using a sharp knife dice the beef into 3-5mm pieces. Throw the lot into a bowl and mix together with your clean hands. Add the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, and the Tabasco to suit (watch this one!). Season to taste with salt and pepper. Form into a pattie using a mould, or just heap on the plate. Crack open the egg, and discarding the white, place the yolk on top in half of the shell. Serve with chips or toasted bread.
